I’ve been quizzed a few times now about how jewellery is made – whether I’m buying settings ready made and popping stones in. So here are a few piccies of some garnet and silver earrings that I made this week.
The pic above shows the raw materials (a piece of silver, some bezel wire, and two little garnets) and the tools ready to go.
Then, after a bit of snipping, filing, soldering and hammering, the stones are ready to be set:
