Practise makes perfect I’m told, and I’d like to make a perfect crown setting, so I’ve started on another. This one is going to be a ring set with a smoky quartz. The basic shape is done (two workshop sessions of filing and some rather sore fingers!) so the next stage is to finish and polish before making the shank and then soldering the crown onto it.
